Tubular Straw Holder for Spay Cans

If you have spent any time at all working on old Jeeps in your garage, I know this has happened to you. You're underneath your jeep trying to spray penetrating oil in just the right spot on a bolt you're trying to get loose when **poof**!! The straw for the spray can flys off and you can't find it anywhere. I don't know about you, but I keep a big supply of spare straws from old cans for just such an occasion. Hold-it, Inc has invented a way to keep from loosing the straw in the first place. This tubular straw holder is an ingenious little invention that will keep backyard mechanics from swearing every time they use a sray can with a straw. Check it out! Put it on your WD-40 can next to your Jumbo Duct Tape Book.

4 inch lift for 97-04 Wrangler TJ with SSV shocks

Quadratec is having a clearance sale on this 4" lift for the Wrangler TJ. For $769.95 you get all you see here including SSV (Speed Smart Valving) low pressure nitogen gas charged shocks. The shocks are constantly self -adjusting, so that you do not have to think about adjusting knobs, buttons or hydraulic lines. That's great because I have a hard enough time concentrating on where I'm going while I drive my Jeep! They claim that these shocks will outperform normal foam cell shocks. This is a great price on a 4" lift for the TJ.

12v Heavy Duty Starters for Willys Jeep Replace 6v Starters

A popular conversion for the early 6v Jeeps was to convert to a 12v electrical system. Often the original 6v starter was retained, and this can lead to problems with overheating, or possibly the starter will ruin the ring gear. Mac's Jeeparts Co. in Corvallis, OR has a solution for this problem. They have introduced a Heavy Duty Gear Reduction 12v starter for the Willys L-head and F-head 134, L-Head 226, Jeep 225 V6, and the Jeep 350 V8 (Vigilante) engines. These starters are smaller and lighter than the OEM starters and feature a 4:1 gear reduction. These are the Key start type, so that you can do away with the floor start mechanism. Prices for new starters start at $225 and they also offer rebuilt units from $150. This is a great way to update your old Jeep and solve all your starting problems.

QuickLever Quick Release Mirror Levers for CJ

Has this ever happened to you? You fold your mirrors in before you go out on the trail so they won't get broken against a tree. Then when you fold them back in after the trail ride is over the mounts are loose. So you have to dig some wrenches out of your toolbox to tighten them. Isn't that annoying? These clever little Quick Release Mirror Levers will prevent this situation from occuring. They allow you to tighten the mirrors mounts at the swivel point without using wrenches. I found some of these at Trail Quest Offroad Equipment in Plain City, Ohio.

From the Willys Tech Parts Board: Daron Wanberg is a big fan of the early CJ2a jeeps and has an extensive collection of early CJ2a's including an AgriJeep. He reports that yesterday was the 60th anniversary of the introduction of the first civilian CJ2a in New Hudson, Michigan. Here is a picture of the ribbons that were worn by the guests at that event. NOS Parts for 76-86 CJ

Collins Brothers has a large supply of NOS parts available for the 76-86 CJs. NOS (New Old Stock) refers to parts that were made by the OE (original equipment) manufacturer when these jeeps were built. These parts are no longer being made and are often hard to find. They are great for restorers or other jeepers who want to rebuild thier jeeps with oe parts. I've had several 76-86 CJs and its sad but true, the OE parts are getting harder and harder to find. Most parts sold for these jeeps are now aftermarket or reproduction pieces.

Request a Part or Best Price

Just add a comment to this post to request us to locate a part or accessory or find the best price. We enjoy a good challenge!

What we do

Our number one goal for the JeepBug web log (blog) is simply this: to help Jeep owners find the new or used parts and accessories they need for their Jeeps, at the lowest price. For owners of newer Jeeps, there is a multitude of companies who offer parts. Finding the lowest price among all these choices can be tough. For owners of older Jeeps, especially the more obscure models, simply locating a part, new or used, can be challenging. We hope to make it easier for Jeep owners to find the parts they need at the best prices, in order to build and maintain their vehicles, so that the sport of Jeeping will continue and can be enjoyed by our kids and grandkids for many years to come.

You Might Have The JeepBug If...

I once talked to a guy on the phone about some Jeep parts I was selling and he mentioned I must have the "JeepBug" too. This appears to be a universal phenomenon amongst Jeep enthusiasts. Here is a short list of ways to tell if you have the JeepBug. Please send any additional reasons and I'll see how long we can grow this list.

You Might have the JeepBug If...
  • You fall asleep at work because you stayed up all night working on Jeeps
  • Your spouse is jealous of your Jeep
  • You have a special agreement with your spouse to not talk about your Jeep over dinner
  • Family vacations are planned around Jeeping
  • Your spouse can't get the car in the garage because your Jeep is in pieces
  • You have Jeep body parts in your kitchen
  • When you buy a Jeep your family asks you if they paid you to haul it off
  • You have ever traveled more than 500 miles to pick up a non-running Jeep
  • Your Jeep parts have thier own bedroom in your house/trailer
  • Your spouse informs you that you talk about Jeeps in your sleep
And Last But Not Least...
  • You might have the JeepBug if you read blogs about Jeeps!! :-)
