Hey everyone! Ricky's having the next Unofficial Gathering of Jeep Owners. Hopefully we can get some more work done on the ramp and hear all about this weekend's adventures in southern Ohio. Maybe talk some more about next year's trailrides.

Jeep Swap Meet in April

The IOK four wheelers, those guys who host Gravelrama each year, are having a swap meet on April 22nd and 23rd 2006 at their grounds in Cleves, Ohio. Hamburgers and hotdogs are usually available for lunch, and you can camp out overnight. There are always a lot of Jeep parts for sale there as well as used parts for other makes of 4x4s, too. New Atlas 4 speed transfer case from Advance Adapters

Advance Adapters has just announced that the Atlas 4sp transfercase has arrived. Often, a two speed transfercase can be geared either too high or too low when in low range. For instance, a 4:1 gear reduction might be great for trail riding or rock crawling, but too low for sand and mud. High range is too high, too. What Advance Adapters has done is taken their proven Atlas 2 speed transfercase and added a splitter behind it, giving 4 gears to choose from. The ratios can vary, but the current prototype has gear reductions of 1:1, 2.72:1, 3.8:1 and a really low 10.3:1. This will give you plenty of gearing options when wheeling your Jeep. One drawback of the case though is that it is too long to work in flat-fender models and CJ5's. But for a CJ7, Wrangler, or other longer Jeep models it should work well. Tailgate Stop-Lock for Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ

This Tailgate Stop-Lock will hold open the tailgate on your Wrangler YJ or TJ for safe and easy access. It will also keep the tailgate from crashing into the right tail light if your bumpstop is missing (been there, done that :-) It consists of a billet aluminum sliding mechanism with a lock knob that will hold the tailgate securely on any slope. Jeep Tent for Wrangler, Liberty and Grand Cherokee

Now this is pretty cool! JeepWorld has a Jeep tent available for the Jeep Wrangler, Liberty, and Grand Cherokee. I'm sure that this tent would also adapt easily to other Jeep models and years. The tent is designed to fit directly on the rear of the vehicle to provide more space in the tent and easy access to the interior of the vehicle. I suppose in really cold weather you could even run the heater? (probably not recommended) The tent has a rain fly, overhead storage net, inside pockets and a storage bag. It measures 10' x 10' and will stand alone in case the vehicle needs to be driven away from the campsite. What will they think of next?

IOK's Last Blast Bracket Race Oct. 28-29th 2005

The IOK Four Wheelers are holding their Last Blast bracket race this weekend, Oct 28th and 29th. There will be side by side uphill drags on Friday night and side by side flat drags on Saturday. All racers welcome from street stocks to super modified, 2wd or 4wd. Camping is available. There will be trick or treating in the campgrounds on Saturday night. Its always a good time, so don't miss it!
