Jeep Swap Meet in April

The IOK four wheelers, those guys who host Gravelrama each year, are having a swap meet on April 22nd and 23rd 2006 at their grounds in Cleves, Ohio. Hamburgers and hotdogs are usually available for lunch, and you can camp out overnight. There are always a lot of Jeep parts for sale there as well as used parts for other makes of 4x4s, too. New Atlas 4 speed transfer case from Advance Adapters

Advance Adapters has just announced that the Atlas 4sp transfercase has arrived. Often, a two speed transfercase can be geared either too high or too low when in low range. For instance, a 4:1 gear reduction might be great for trail riding or rock crawling, but too low for sand and mud. High range is too high, too. What Advance Adapters has done is taken their proven Atlas 2 speed transfercase and added a splitter behind it, giving 4 gears to choose from. The ratios can vary, but the current prototype has gear reductions of 1:1, 2.72:1, 3.8:1 and a really low 10.3:1. This will give you plenty of gearing options when wheeling your Jeep. One drawback of the case though is that it is too long to work in flat-fender models and CJ5's. But for a CJ7, Wrangler, or other longer Jeep models it should work well. Tailgate Stop-Lock for Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ

This Tailgate Stop-Lock will hold open the tailgate on your Wrangler YJ or TJ for safe and easy access. It will also keep the tailgate from crashing into the right tail light if your bumpstop is missing (been there, done that :-) It consists of a billet aluminum sliding mechanism with a lock knob that will hold the tailgate securely on any slope. It features a clear andonized finish and comes packaged with complete instructions and all the mounting hardware necessary to mount it to your Jeep. Available at Rocky Road Outfitters for $45.00

Jeep Tent for Wrangler, Liberty and Grand Cherokee

Now this is pretty cool! JeepWorld has a Jeep tent available for the Jeep Wrangler, Liberty, and Grand Cherokee. I'm sure that this tent would also adapt easily to other Jeep models and years. The tent is designed to fit directly on the rear of the vehicle to provide more space in the tent and easy access to the interior of the vehicle. I suppose in really cold weather you could even run the heater? (probably not recommended) The tent has a rain fly, overhead storage net, inside pockets and a storage bag. It measures 10' x 10' and will stand alone in case the vehicle needs to be driven away from the campsite. What will they think of next?

IOK's Last Blast Bracket Race Oct. 28-29th 2005

The IOK Four Wheelers are holding their Last Blast bracket race this weekend, Oct 28th and 29th. There will be side by side uphill drags on Friday night and side by side flat drags on Saturday. All racers welcome from street stocks to super modified, 2wd or 4wd. Camping is available. There will be trick or treating in the campgrounds on Saturday night. Its always a good time, so don't miss it!

If you are like me, then there are times when you dream about lifting your Jeep sky-high to fit 36" tires with the best lift kit available. Of course, then reality sets in after you see the price of some of those lifts. Whats more, I remember how terrible my last lifted Jeep rode and the steering was awful. Trail Ready Front Winch Bumper for Jeep Liberty

Trailready has just released its new front winch bumper for the Jeep Liberty models. It consists of a fabricated 1/8" steel outer over a 3/16" subframe and winch mount. It has 5" recessed light ports giving it a custom look. The standard finish is a semi-gloss black powdercoat for extreme durability and good looks.

Trailready also has rear bumpers, driveline skid-plates, beadlock wheels, rock rails, and more for Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Liberty models.

High Flow Rate Water Pumps for Jeeps

Flow Kooler has high flow rate water pumps available for most Jeep models, 1966 to present. These pumps will double the water flow rate at idle, providing a reduction in engine operating temperature of up to 30 degrees. It will also establish 22% more water pressure inside the block and heads which can help stop engine ping. If you are having problems with the engine running hot while trail riding, rock crawling, or other low-speed manuvering then this type of water pump might be the answer. Available at Quadratec.

24th Annual 4 Wheel Jamboree Sept. 23-25th

Sponsored by Advance Auto Parts, the Fall 4 Wheel and Offroad Nationals will be held Sept. 23-25, 2005 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, IN. Rock Crawler and Racing Seats for Jeep CJ5 CJ7 YJ TJ XJ

MasterCraft has recently released this performance suspension seat designed for rock crawling, with Jeep enthusiasts in mind. Named the Rubicon, this seat will bolt directly in CJ5, CJ7 and YJ Wrangler models. It will fit TJ Wrangler and XJ Cherokees by using the optional seat mounting kit. This lower-sided race seat features 5-point seatbelt slots, loops to secure the belts in place, secondary suspension straps, and is available in Hiback or Loback configurations, with or without a headrest. Any color of vinyl or trim fabric is available. These seats will make a great addition to your Jeep and will provide uncompromised comfort and saftey when combined with a 5-point harness.
